NSPE Scholarships

Undergraduate
The Steinman Scholarship is awarded annually to undergraduates entering or continuing their junior year in a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program. The award is for $5,000 and five (5) scholarships will be awarded.
The NSPE Education Foundation Auxiliary Legacy Scholarship is awarded annually to a female undergraduate entering or continuing their junior year of a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program. Multiple awards are potentially available. The award is for $5,000 and two (2) scholarships will be awarded.
Graduate, Undergraduate
George B. Hightower, P.E. Fellowship
The NSPE Education Foundation George B. Hightower, P.E. Fellowship is awarded annually to a current engineering undergraduate or graduate student who is enrolled in, or graduated from, an ABET-accredited engineering program. The award is for $3,000 and two (2) scholarships will be awarded.

Applications for NSPE’s 2025-26 committees will open in early May 2025. The deadline to apply is 5:00 pm ET June 4. Applicants will be confirmed by August 2025. Terms begin immediately and run through June 30, 2026, unless otherwise specified.
Please note: Each year, NSPE receives many requests from members eager to share their experience and knowledge by volunteering. While every effort will be made to place you in your desired engagement level, we may be unable to make a match due to the limited number of positions. How to Nominate:
- Explore the Awards - Review categories, criteria, and past recipients.
- Identify a Candidate - You may nominate a peer, colleague, or community member whose work stands out. If you wish to be considered yourself, you are encouraged to connect with a peer who can submit a nomination on your behalf.
- Follow the Process - Prepare the nomination package according to the guidelines and submit within the Call for Nominations window.

How to Apply

1. Register
Click on the "Register" link and complete and submit the registration form.
2. Login
Login to the platform with your email and password.
3. Create
Create your online application.
4. Save
During the Call for Applications period, your application can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the application is saved. At any time, you can download and print your application by clicking on the
icon in the Application Summary section.
5. Submit
On completion, save your Application as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your application for your records by clicking on the icon in the Application Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Applications period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.
